The Sorry Series: Abigal De Kosnik
As an adjunct program to On Apology (April 19-May 19, 2012), The Sorry Series will investigate public and private iterations of the apology, examining how apologies are formed, their subtlety or lack thereof, and their potential, if any, to accomplish real change.
Abigail De Kosnik will lead a workshop addressing the paradoxical feelings of guild and pleasure that TV and Internet apologies arouse.
Abigail De Kosnik is Assistant Professor at Berkeley Center for New Media and Department of Theater, Dance & Performance Studies, University of California, Berkeley. She has two books forthcoming: The Survival of Soap Opera: Strategies for a New Media Era and Illegitimate Media: Minority Discourse and the Censorship of Digital Remix Culture.
